| Free Arctic Monkeys Live Track Download + Album Pre-Order |

Bit of a beer mat update for you, too!
From Domino Records:
Hello to all on our Arctic Monkeys mailing list and a warm welcome to any newcomers since our last newsletter.
Firstly an update on the free beermat situation. Due to the huge uptake we experienced in connection with this offer we thought it might be bad of us to chop down loads of trees to make beer mats. In the end we had over 50,000 replies and we had only got 2,000 beermats so this is what we've decided to do...give everyone a free exclusive live track download instead! A much better free gift I'm sure you'll agree. It's a storming live performance of the track 'Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secured' from their show at Stubbs BBQ in Austin, Texas, USA. To download the track click here.
However, we still have 2,000 beer mats, so we will give these away free with the first 2,000 pre-orders of the new Arctic Monkeys album - more details of that below...
Arctic Monkeys are pleased to announce that their new album entitled 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', will be released on Monday 23rd April. The track listing will be:
01. Brianstorm 02. Teddy Picker 03. D is for Dangerous 04. Balaclava 05. Fluorescent Adolescent 06. Only Ones Who Know 07. Do Me a Favour 08. This House Is a Circus 09. If You Were There, Beware 10. The Bad Thing 11. Old Yellow Bricks 12. 505
We will be accepting pre-orders of this album direct from Domino Mart from the beginning of March and as usual, all orders will be despatched with free goodies (and as mentioned above, the first 2,000 pre-orders will also receive a beer mat!). More details will follow very shortly so keep 'em peeled!
The first single, 'Brianstorm' will be released on Monday 16th April. |

| Alex Turner Showcases New Material in Shop |
|
Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has previewed one of the newly recorded songs while out shopping in Sheffield.
While in clothing store Sa-Kis in the singer's hometown, it is reported that Turner played the B-Side to forthcoming single "Brianstorm" when paying for his items.
When asked about how the album was going Turner said "It's done, we've just recorded the B side for the next single. Do you want to hear it?" which followed an obvious "Yes" and then a request to play it on the shop's soundsystem, to which Turner agreed.
Assistant Manager Sa-Kis Ian Theasby believes the track to be called 'Satisfaction' and said:
"Alex and Jamie have been coming in here for about a year, both really sound guys who like their clothes"
"The track? If that's the B side to the next single then god knows what the album's like because it was very, very, very good. Like 'Acquiesce' it could become one of those classic B-sides for the greatest hits in 10 years time."
"It's slower and funkier than their old stuff, but catchy as hell."
The track is apparently slightly mellower than the stuff on 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' and closer in funky ways to stuff from the 'Who The Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys' EP, while also lyrically similar to fav favourite 'A Certain Romance' as one part of the song talks about a friend who you could never hate.
If that's anything to go by then we agree with Ian Theasby. |

| Arctic Monkeys 'Confirmed' to Headline Glastonbury |
|
Arctic Monkeys have been confirmed alongside Bjork as headliners for the 2007 Glastonbury festival, according to co-organiser Emily Eavis:
She said:
"We're absolutely thrilled to be able to put Bjork and the Arctic Monkeys on because both are firm favourites in our household.
"The Arctic Monkeys have never done it so this will be their first year and Bjork has done the festival a few times now and is absolutely fantastic."
Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has already responded to comments made by Michael Eavis earlier in the week:
"Er, if Michael Eavis said it, well we must be (true) then," he observed. "I can't really confirm anything. Nothing gets announced until March, and though stuff leaks out they can always change it!"
